Each year we offer an opportunity for anyone to become part of a full scale Broadway show. An open casting call is done for children thru senior adults. Anyone interested in being part of a show is considered regardless of whether they are veteran of the stage or a beginner. It’s the perfect opportunity for entire families to participate in a show together or a place for those who have never been in a show to see what it is like.

Past productions include The Sound of Music, Seussical the Musical and The Wizard of Oz. We always pick shows that are appropriate for the entire family whether they are acting together in the show or watching. Our shows are always kid friendly because we want theater to be enjoyed by the entire family.

ABOUT OUR CASTING PROCESS FOR MULTIGENERATIONAL SHOWS
Our casting calls are meant to be a simple and laid back process. Normally there is no need to prepare a special monologue or song. Just come out and meet everyone. We will learn part of a song or two together in large group. Then smaller groups will be assigned and they will have the opportunity to sing together as well as individually just so we can assess vocal ranges.

We’ll also do some fun acting exercises and reading to give you a chance to show your stuff! We try to keep this a light happy and fun time for everyone. We know that the word “Audition” can be very intimidating but for these shows we want you to be at ease and have some fun.

When you arrive you will fill out an audition form, if you did not download one and fill it out ahead of time. On the form you will tell us a little about your experience on stage BUT prior experience on stage is not necessary to be cast in our shows. We will ask about hopes for this production as well as your scheduling conflicts, so bring your calendar.

On the day of the auditions you will:
Enter the facilities and fill out an Audition Form
(Arrive early to fill out your form or download one to fill out before you come)
Please bring a 4x6” photo headshot
Everyone will meet as a large group
We will learn part of some songs from the show*
You will be put into a smaller group of actors
Your group will be given some fun acting exercises to do together
Groups will sing together and individually so we can assess you vocal range
We may do callbacks or an additional day of casting depending on the show
A mass email will go out and the cast list will be posted on the website and our Facebook page. Actors will have 24 hrs to contact us and accept their role.
